The light in the cave will depend upon the time of day and the season of the year.  Light in the cave isn't really the only reason for this trip. 

You'll visit  historical sites that have to do with the early days of the canyon, the surveying of the river, and the building of Hoover Dam. 

You'll get out for a short walk to a scenic view. You'll stop on a beach to relax and perhaps take a dip in the cool canyon water. And - if you've never kayaked before, after this trip, you'll be on your way to being a kayaker.
